I feel like I’m stuck in an endless metaphorical loop of the 4:1-ratioed tragic to happy-go-lucky episodes of Little House on the Prairie. The majority of that show’s tragic “4” ratio loop is filled with plague, famine, and foreclosures; Ma almost getting gangrene and having to cut off her own leg; puppies thrown into a sack and then into a pond to drow…
