Happy 4th of July Hangover-Day

I am visiting my Auntie Helen at her mountain home near Lyle, Washington. Like the Missouri River creates a border between Iowa and Nebraska, the Columbia River creates one between Washington and Oregon. The Hood River Bridge had to be crossed before the mountain was ascended - a steel truss bridge with two-way traffic that is a bit scary if you take your eyes from the straight-ahead to look out at the windsurfers on the river with their colorful kites.
